offset | Number of matching properties to skip; default 0, minimum 0. |
limit | Page size; default 50, maximum 200. Increase offset by limit until total matching rows have been retrieved. |
Understand the response
Every property includes name, address, city, state, zipcode, country and country_iso_code. State and postal code may be null. Postal codes retain leading zeros and international formats.
as_of is the loaded snapshot’s UTC download date. verification_url always links to the official GSA page. total counts filtered matches, with offset and limit describing the page. No matches returns an empty results list; an unloaded list returns 503. Current-list access follows your plan’s normal quotas, with no historical date parameter.
Cached responses may retain the prior snapshot until expiry. Compare snapshot dates across pages if a refresh occurs while you retrieve the list.

This is a property directory, not a room quote. It supplies no live prices, availability or booking guarantees. Book through your agency’s approved channels.

What does the GSA FedRooms API return?
The current worldwide GSA FedRooms property list as JSON: hotel name, address, postal city, state, postal code, country and ISO alpha-2 country code. It includes a download date and a link to the official GSA page.
Can I search by hotel or country?
Yes. q matches every search word as a case-insensitive literal substring across the six source fields. country accepts an ISO alpha-2 code such as US or GB. Combine both filters and paginate the matching properties.
Does the API return prices or let me book?
No. The source list contains no room prices or availability. Use your agency’s approved booking channels to obtain the FedRooms rate. Listing does not guarantee a room or a price for a particular stay.
How current is the list?
as_of is the UTC date the loaded spreadsheet was downloaded, not its publication or effective date. The list is refreshed through an operator command; no automatic daily refresh or historical lookup is promised.
Is this the same as the FEMA hotel list?
No. FedRooms is a government lodging program; FEMA maintains a separate fire-safety hotel list. These API results do not cross-reference individual properties with FEMA. Allowances API is independent of GSA and the U.S. Government.
